RING BACK UP

When your plan A is gone, there is always Plan B to support. Back Up Ring is used to support the other Rod Seal and prevent the oil from leaking. 2 different type of Back up Ring is used in different place. Within the same application, is good to use both type. Bronze is used after the Rod Seal as the first pressure will be at this point. The rest of the ring back up can use Teflon material. Hmmm this is from my opinion. Having Said that, if you would like to use all the back up ring with bronze material, you may do so but i wouldn't suggest my consumer to waste their money unneccesarily ^^

Why do we have many different type of Piston Seal?

             Different type of Piston Seal, caters for different type of  machine.

 

Price of the seal may vary depending on its type. However we can't be possibly just give you a type of seal because we want to earn more. RING WEAR - FIBRE

Today, a customer came to our office and ased me this question, "Isn't the phenolic ring wear is good enough?" So, i decided to give some thought for our consumer the difference for usage for RING WEAR PHENOLIC and FIBRE RING WEAR.

Cotton Fabric is used to manufactured the phenolic ring wear which this is adviseable to be used in smaller heavy equipment machine which pressure and heat is lesser. In other words, for BIG MACHINE, is adviseable to use RING WEAR FIBRE Material to get a better performance.

In my opinion, both RIng Wear can still be use for big or small machine. I still think its the customer preference and the usage of the heavy equipment. But we cannot deny that FIBRE RING WEAR is definitely much stronger resistance of pressure and heat.

OIL SEAL

VITON Material of oil seal i advisable to be use in Main Pumps area as it is the hottest part of the machine. We strongly recommend NOK brand for oilseal as its product quality is an assurance. However for those that finds the price for NOK oilseal is on the high side, we do have the OEM oil seal that also able to sustain on a high temperature.
